I have been looking a many autos in various aution sites and have bought some. I see a changes in some of the "d's" with the signatures. Some are straight up and then down or back a bit while others are just up with a curve inward. The rest of the auto seems simular with the exception of the d. Does anyone know if he changed his signature at some point?

Hi and welcome to the group.
It goes something like this. In the 60's Ali signed his 'd' with the down stroke to end it. Sometime in the early 70's he stopped, and ended his signature with only the upward stroke. He started signing his 'd's with the down stroke once again in the late 90's.
This is not exact as you will find variations within the time frames I mentioned.
Here are some examples:

1975
1987

![[image]](http://www.aliautos.net/resources/_wsb_200x65_mc+1994.jpg) Here's an example of one in 1994 ending in the up stroke.
You can see other examples at this link: http://www.aliautos.net/examples.html
Hope this helps.
